As for every year, the Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission is organizing the European SME week, which will take place between 25th and 30th November 2013.
This campaign promotes enterprise across Europe in line with the Small Business Act for Europe.
Events and activities will reach both potential and existing entrepreneurs, as they will take place in 37 countries, with national, regional and local actions.
These events – organised by business organisations, business support providers and national, regional and local authorities – will also enable existing companies to share their experience and develop further themselves.
Among the objectives of the European SME week, there is the aim to provide information about what is offered by the European Union and by national, regional and local authorities to support to micro, small and medium enterprises; to promote entrepreneurship so that more people, especially young people, seriously consider becoming an entrepreneur to contribute to welfare, employment, innovation and competitiveness in Europe.
Unlike past years, the main event of the week will not take place Brussels but in conjunction with the SMEs and the European Awards Ceremony for business promotion, to be held on 25th and 26th November 2013 in Vilnius (Lithuania).
